Relaxation in Enforcement of SEBI (LODR) Regulations in Relation to Strategic Disinvestments by Central Government

As per Regulation 102 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, in the interest of investors, and the interest and development of the securities market, SEBI is vested with the power to relax the strict enforcement of any requirements under the SEBI (LODR) Regulations on specific grounds. By way of Notification dated December 5, 2022, an additional ground has been incorporated whereby SEBI may relax strict enforcement of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations if the Central Government makes an application for such relaxation, in relation to its strategic disinvestment in a listed entity.
