In the largest foreign direct investment in India’s affordable housing segment, Standard Chartered Private Equity, World Bank member IFC and the Asian Development Bank entered into and funded the first tranche out of its USD 200 million commitment to Joyville Shapoorji Housing Private Limited, a joint venture with the Shapoorji Pallonji Group. In addition to the multilateral funding, the investors will also provide USD 50 million as a buffer fund to the joint venture.
