Amendment to License Agreements Prohibiting Licensees to Enter into Exclusive Contracts

The Department of Telecommunications (‘DoT’), by way of Notifications dated July 27, 2023, and August 21, 2023, has amended all unified license (‘UL’), UL virtual network operator license, Unified Access Service (‘UAS’) license and International Long Distance (‘ILD’) license (other than UL) agreements, to prohibit the licensees from entering into exclusive contracts for establishing public network or right of way for providing public telecom services.
