Establishment of Spectrum Regulatory Sandbox

The DoT has issued guidelines ‘Spectrum Regulatory Sandbox/Wireless Test Zones (WiTe Zones)’ by way of reference no. R-11014/08/2021-NT dated March 11, 2024, for a Spectrum Regulatory Sandbox to test wireless products and technologies for research and development or experimentation in specified spectrum bands, by national academic, research institutes, technology parks or industry partners, etc. The DoT has prescribed operational conditions for WiTe zone license.
