The DoT, by way of Office Memorandum No. R-11014/15/2012-NT (Pt.) dated July 07, 2023, has decided to continue making frequency assignments for broadcasting, H/V/UHF/SHF fixed/mobile networks, radars, experimentation, demonstration and satellite-based applications for a period of six months with effect from July 13, 2023. The allotment of the spectrum would be made subject to the prescribed conditions including the following: (i) allotment of spectrum will be provisional and subject to Government’s decision; (ii) provisional allotment of spectrum will be withdrawn without refund, in the event spectrum is allotted through auction, and respective wireless users would be required to obtain non dealer possession license; and (iii) wireless users will have to provide undertaking to pay the revised spectrum charges from the date of letter of intent for provisional allotment.
