Supreme Court Issues Directions to Strengthen India’s Law Protecting Women from Sexual Harassment at Workplace

The Supreme Court in the recent judgement of Aureliano Fernandes v. State of Goa has noted serious lapses in the implementation and enforcement of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The Supreme Court has in this regard issued directions for effective implementation and enforcement of the law.
