AZB & Partners advised Universal Music Group on acquisition of a 30% stake in Excel Entertainment.

The transaction was led by the deal team comprising Senior Partner Darshika Kothari, Partner Kunal Kumbhat, Senior Associate Shailesh Singh and Associates Disha Mantry, Khushi Bafna and Rhea Chauhan. Separately, Senior Associate Yashaswi Rohra assisted on due diligence aspects of the transaction.

The financing aspects of the transaction were led by Partner Nikunj Maheshwari, Senior Associate Shreya Mishra, and Associate Isha Sheth.
