Metrea, a leading provider of commercial air-to-air refueling (AAR), in connection with wet lease of flight refueler aircraft.

AZB & Partners represented Metrea, a leading provider of commercial air-to-air refueling (AAR), in connection with wet lease of flight refueler aircraft (FRA) (KC-135) by the Ministry of Defence for providing AAR training to pilots of Indian Air Force (IAF) and Indian Navy. This marks a significant milestone – the first FRA to be wet leased by the IAF – and is set to boost India’s AAR training capabilities.

Our transaction team was led by Ashish Pareek, Samarth Shandilya and Prashant Dutta. The direct tax aspects were handled by Abhinav Ashwin and Anmol Anand, and indirect tax aspects were handled by Suresh Varanasi and Sagnik Chatterjee.
