AZB & Partners represented Meta Platforms, Inc. in connection with its USD 900 mn investment in Cred (Dreamplug Technologies Private Limited). CRED operates technology-driven platforms that enable users to access a range of financial and digital services, including lending, investments, insurance, payments, e-commerce and travel-related services. The transaction involved a combination of primary and secondary investments and also coincides with the appointment of Kunal Shah as the global CEO of WhatsApp.
AZB acted on all aspects of the transaction, including legal due diligence, structuring, anti-trust aspects, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents, regulatory analysis and transaction closing.
